Engineer's Week 2008!

Well, I dove headfirst into Engineer's Week at work for the first time doing a few activities. I ran around the campus with a team holding a GPS device as we looked for 'treasure' in what is called a geocaching. I also participated in Boeing Jeopardy which made me feel not so dorky because I didn't know most of the questions. The one I got right was "What group's song titled 'Satellite' was part of their 1994 album Under the Table and Dreaming? (Answer: Dave Matthew's Band). Most of the stuff was items a recent college grad would have a good shot at.

Newest member of the Poirier family is...

No, not that time yet (see counter at the right)...but we finally decided to take that full step in accepting multi-parenthood, a minivan! Holding out on buying that Honda Odyssey hurt with the dollar plummeting but enabled us to wait for Chrysler (and Dodge) to overhaul their vehicle for 2008. The Chrysler Town & Country really looks nice, is accessorized to the hilt, came with lifetime powertrain warranty, and was $2500 under invoice! Ethan had been saying he didn't want a new car but now gets a big grin on his face when he sees the side door open automatically for him.
